01. Desert Gem
In the middle of the winter in a place called Harcuvar
Snowbirds, by the dozens, flock to await the springtime thaw
Without a word it happened around a campfire glow
a spark of heated romance. How were they to know

That the Desert Gem, would call to them
Oasis where their love began
And when he and she became a them
She became his desert gem

Whirling, twirling together like a zephyr 'oer the desert floor
They were filled with a passion that they could not ignore
Though clandestine their love was to be the coyotes somehow knew
And serenaded them nightly beneath the midnight moon

And the Desert Gem, would call to them
Oasis where their love began
And when he and she became a them
He became her desert gem

Like a cactus flower only a few nights it blooms
Their rendezvous ended too soon

And the Desert Gem, would call to them
Oasis where their love began
And when he and she became a them
They became a desert gem
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh They became a desert gem
They became a desert...gem

02. My Anywhere
What to wear now?
How's is my hair now?
It doesn't matter in the big scheme of things
Who to care for
Who to pray for
Is more important than anything
When I find myself lost in my own little world
I reach out and you're there
And you get me back on track to My Anywhere

Get my game on
Don't put the blame on
In the long run it won't matter anyway
What I believe in
What I find peace in
Is gonna get me through these long days
When I find myself lost in my own little world
I reach out and you're there
And you get me back on track to My Anywhere

Why when life is so good
I keep on thinking about what I could(should) be doing
If I'd open my eyes I'd see it all standing there

03. Can't Out Run The Rain
(Written by Dee Harthen)

04 Surrounding Love
Surrounding love was so apparent
It made it easy for her to let go
It filled the hearts of those remaining
And gently helped to ease the pain

Surrounding love changed my way of thinking
It brought a needed peace into our souls
Surrounding love will live on forever
In our spirits and deep into our hearts

This road we’re on it don’t last forever
And for some it’s not more than a day
Be here and now embrace the moment
Find peace and truth along your way

Surrounding love he just couldn’t see it
For his heros had died long ago
Constant numb he could not feel it
Quietly let his spirit go

05 Dog Days of Summer
Dog days of summer
Summer days with my dogs
Lying in the cool grass
Dreaming up a song
Hiking in the mountains
Swimming in the lakes
Always on the give, never on the take
If there’s anything that is what is...
It’s a dog!

Dog days of summer
Come and go too fast
But the joy of the good times
They bring you memories that last
Sometimes the days seem so long
Still they’re never long enough
To share with these creatures of
God’s love

Shepard, Beagle, Poodle or Lab
Stretch out on the lawn
with any dog that you have
Just don’t forget to bring home the bones!!

Dog days of summer
I wish them to you
With sunshine and playtime
And love that is true
And when you’re feelin’ blue
Or if you are in pain
Think of the truth in their eyes
You’ll be smiling again!

Dog days of summer
Summer days with my dogs
Dog days of summer
Summer days with my dogs
Here Teo, Let’s go Scout
Come along little Jinx!
Dit dot dah duh dah dit dat dah duh dah dog!

06 Don't Go There
I ask, “Why?” You say, “I just don’t care if it’s not good enough!”
Baby, Don’t Go There!
Life’s too short to sweat the small things
Don’t take for granted what our love can bring
This argument ain’t going nowhere
Baby, Don’t Go There!

You ask, “How?” I say, “Don’t you dare try to make it better!”
Baby, Don’t Go There!
I just need a moment to myself
To try to put this anger up on the shelf
This argument ain’t going nowhere
Baby, Don’t Go There!

When our tempers are getting hot
And we’re wondering if it’s worth it
We’ve got to find a way to cool things off
‘Cause baby… we can work this!

Now if you’re thinking ‘bout how this life ain’t fair. How it‘s not in your favor
Baby, Don’t Go There!
‘Cause our love is something that’s been tried and true
It’s the foundation of me and you
My heart ain’t going nowhere
Baby, Don’t Go There!

07 How Was I To Know
(Written by Corey Lee Barker, Lucas Hoge, & Natalie Fognani)

08 Lover's Cliche'
Monkey see and monkey do
Baby i’m in love with you whoa
Catch a lover by the toe
Hold her tight and don’t let go
Find a penny better pick it up
All that day you’re gonna have good luck

I’m gonna read between the lines
I’m gonna rattle your cage baby
I’m raising the bar don’t you rain on my parade
I’ve got a new lease on life
I’m jumpin’ in with both feet
This ain’t no sprint it’s a marathon

Find a lover’s cliché
When your own words get in the way
Use a lover’s cliché

Baby hold your horses
Baby hold the phone
You can talk the talk but can you walk the walk
When we’re all alone
Get back on the bike
Get you’re ducks in a row
It takes two it takes two to tango

Just a lover’s cliché
When your own words get in the way
Use a lover’s cliche

09 Intentions
Babe I know last evening, honey you were feeling sad
Yes I know last evening, honey you were feeling sad
You’ve got those lovesick blues
They’re the worst you’ve ever had

I know your intentions are just as good as gold
I know your intentions are just as good as gold
You just need some understanding and not too tight of a hold

Babe I know this morning, honey you were feeling fine
Yes I know this morning, honey you were feeling fine
You got a taste of my sweet love
It works on you every time

You know my intentions are just as good as gold
You know my intentions are just as good as gold
I just need some understanding and not too tight of a hold

You know my intentions are just as good as gold
You know my intentions are just as good as gold

You know that shiny stuff that jingles in your pocket when you walk around

I just need some understanding
I just need some understanding
I just need some understanding and not too tight of a hold

10 My Bungalow
As twilight falls and my body tires
with the cities toil and dim.
I solace my soul with dreams of the fire
My bungalow within. My Bungalow within.

I hear the stag’s shrill call to his mate.
My dog paws by the door
I follow the trail I breast the hill
My soul to be free once more! To be free once more!

Far from crowd and the smell of trade
there is waiting for me I know,
by the waters rim in the heart of the wild,
My bungalow, my bungalow! My bungalow, my bungalow!

I smell the smoke of hickory logs,
the bacon, coffee and bass.
I snuggle down and nurse my pipe
Don’t say it’s a dream! Alas!

Must I awake to the smell of trade?
When there is waiting for me I know,
by the water’s rim near nature’s heart
My bungalow, my bungalow! My bungalow, my bungalow!

11. Big rigs little dogs
Big rigs, little dogs
From what i see they all hog up
The camping spaces in states parks
Twenty-four hour lanterns to light up the dark

This rv culture
This rv scene
Once a nomad’s glory
Now an executive’s dream

Big rigs little dogs
They have their dish so if there’s fog
They can stay inside and entertain
Weather it’s cloudy or if it rains

This rv culture
This rv scene
Once a nomand’s story
Now an executive’s dream

(We’ve got ) a little rig and two big dogs
We like to ride our bikes and jump over logs
We don’t need no tv we’ll count the stars
And sleep nice and cozy in this little rig of ours

12. Traces
Up at the crack of dawn the early morn light
Slips on her nylon stockings and curls her hair up tight
Then it’s fighting on that freeway, yeah, you’re fighting for your life
It’s a crazy world! It’s a crazy life!

You know the only thing that keeps her going

Is that there’s been a few lucky stars shining down you see
And they’re the only things that keep her free

She knows her dreams come true
She knows that her dreams can come to
She knows that her dreams come true

And time will put you in your place
Time will put a few lines across your face
Time will come and go… and it always leaves traces!

Well, five years ago I wished I was here today
But now that I’m here you know I might not stay
There’s a new found freedom calling me it’s way
And I’m getting closer to it each and every day

You know the only thing that keeps her going

Is that there’s been a few lucky stars shining down you see
And they’re the only things that keep her free

She knows her dreams come true
She knows that her dreams can come to
She knows that her dreams come true

And time will put you in your place
Time will put a few lines across your face
Time will come and go… and it always leaves traces!

So here she’s just wishing all your pretty little dreams come true!

13. January Trees
January trees against a western sunset
Cold shapes and colors not easy to forget
She was born in the wintertime
Cold is what she knows
Though the wind through her life blows
She won't let her strength be denied

January trees tell a story of lost time
Branches bare now will hold the spring green so fine
She fell in love in the wintertime
Hope is what she knows
Like a sleeping seed in time will grow
She’ll cling to the promise of life’s design

Looking out the window she sees her life going by
Happiness and sorrow it makes her want to cry
Then the scene of strong winter trees makes her realize
She has everything that she needs inside

January trees touching the evening skyline
Branches reaching skyward begging for the climb
She lost her life in the wintertime
Peace is what she knows
I’ll take her memory with me as I go
Through this enchanted life of mine
We're just like... January Trees
Just like... January Trees
